Souter Lighthouse, Sunderland
County Durham Centre of the National Trust
Welcome
Welcome to the County Durham Centre of the National Trust.
Members of the National Trust (including our friends from the National Trust for Scotland) and non- National Trust members are assured of a warm welcome to this particularly active association.
The Centre was established in 1970, and our members are widely drawn from the old geographical County between the Tyne and Tees. We enjoy an active programme of summer outings, varied social events throughout the year and talks during the winter months.
As a voluntary association we strongly support the National Trust, and are proud to have contributed to many local projects, including those at Lindisfarne, Wallington, Gibside, Washington Old Hall, Souter Lighthouse, Seaton Delaval and Crook Hall.
